Zinée

Born in Toulouse to parents who encouraged her artistic aspirations from an early age, Zinée went to film school before turning to music and rap. Educated in the genre by a father who promised her that rap was the music of the future, she grew up listening to the Fonky Family, Oxmo Puccino and Fabe. She soon discovered Orelsan and Disiz La Peste. Although Zinée had always been immersed in music, it was when she played a few demos recorded on her phone to the person who was to become her manager that the wheels started turning. He introduced her to Sheldon from the 75e Session collective, and the magic happened. This artistic encounter soon gave rise to capsules, a few singles and a first EP, Futée, which opened a window on her contrasting universe: a long night pierced by lights and stars. We discover her distinctive, instantly recognizable voice, whether soft or harsh, singing or rapping. Zinée shines. Cobalt, her second opus, soon followed. While it follows in the footsteps of her first tracks, Zinée takes a more personal approach, sharing her struggles, her joys and her wounds. Her vision of the world is blunt and detached, never cruel. Funny, sad, melancholy or full of hope, Cobalt is a broth of pure emotion, reflecting the artist's complex personality. Direct yet elusive, she moves between different genres to propel us into another galaxy. Cobalt grips the heart and guts, and undoubtedly augurs a stellar trajectory for Zinée.
