Zamdane has found his color and his rhythm. The Marrakech-born artist, who has been living in Marseille since 2016, has been defending his critically acclaimed debut album, Couleur de ma peine, for the past two years. In this project, he pours his heart out without ever holding back. It is this honesty that has allowed him to build such a strong bond with his audience, as evidenced by the 90 million streams he accumulated in 2023, more than a year after the album’s release. Teased for over a year, his new album "SOLSAD" is shaping up to be his defining project. After unveiling it last May in two sold-out shows at L’Olympia, followed by performances at some of the most prestigious festivals this summer, Zamdane is now embarking on a tour across France and the major French-speaking capitals.
Since Couleur de ma peine, Zamdane has been consistently delivering tracks that push his artistry even further, highlighting his melancholic yet refined musical style. He tells the story of Marseille, Morocco, and everything in between. Teased for a year—most notably during his first major sold-out Paris show at La Cigale, where 1,400 tickets were snapped up in just three hours—then in front of 9,000 people gathered in Marseille for his charity concert in support of the SOS Méditerranée association, "SOLSAD" is set to be the project that cements his place in the music scene.
