Originally from Brussels, Pierre Mignon aka PEET made his name with the group Le 77 before going solo. A rapper, lyricist and beatmaker, PEET draws on personal stories, urban setbacks and life stories. Inspired by ordinary people, PEET's lyrics reflect what he sees and hears, what he lives and feels. A witness to his generation, PEET lives resolutely with the times. Sensitive and authentic, the rapper's subtle lyrics win over ever-growing crowds who turn out to see him in concert.
In February 2022 he returned to the Belgian charts with his album 'TODO BIEN', which went on to reach 3 million streams, including 2 million in
France. Between his introspective lyrics and crowd-pleasing bangers, PEET invited rappers and friends JEANJASS, PRIMERO and ROMEO ELVIS to guest on the album.
The Todo Bien Tour was also a great success. PEET toured the stages of many famous concert halls and festivals, including the mainstage of the Dour Festival, the Francofolies de SPA and Couleur Café. In autumn 2023, the rapper played to a full house in the French capital, for a double date at La Maroquinerie, as well as in the Belgian capital, at the Ancienne Belgique, always surrounded by a live band made up of talented musicians: VEEKO on drums (Swing, Aloïse Sauvage, L'or du Commun, Scylla , Ichon , Joanna), NICOLAS FELICES on bass (Camille Lelouche, Nemir, Yseult, Aloise Sauvage), FERDI on saxophone (Dabeull , Sofiane Pamart, Ichon, Beesau, Scylla) and ELVIN GALLAND on piano (Vianney , Mentissa , Saskia, Manu Katche), not forgetting his constant companion MORGAN VAN DER GHINST who accompanies him everywhere.
With a formula all his own, PEET is undeniably one of the rappers to keep an eye on this year. Determined to unveil a still little-known side of his universe, his next album reveals his deep emotions with a writing style that is resolutely endearing. The album features a host of exciting collaborations, and a date at La Cigale has already been announced for 23 November 2024 in Paris!
