Find out in 7 points how we encourage you to think consciously about your travel, your consumption and your actions at Les Ardentes!
1. PROMOTES ENVIRONMENTALLY-FRIENDLY MEANS OF TRANSPORT
Mobility is the main source of pollution when organizing a festival. Transport linked to event logistics and the arrival of festival-goers and artists on site have a significant impact on the environment.
That's why we've set up a wide range of alternative transport options for our festival-goers. Free bus shuttles, a car-sharing platform, bike and scooter parking in the immediate vicinity of the festival... Go to the mobility tab to find the alternative means of transport that's right for you!
YOUR RETURN TRAIN JOURNEY AT 50% OFF THANKS TO SNCB !
With the Event Train Ticket, take advantage of a round-trip train ticket between any Belgian station and Ans station at 50% off! Free shuttles will then take you to the festival and campsite.
Use the SNCB(*) code displayed on your festival ticket to buy your Les Ardentes Event Train Ticket on sncb.be/lesardentes. This code begins with the number zero, the capital i and the letters FB. Purchase, info and conditions on sncb.be/lesardentes.
(*) Festival tickets purchased via Fnac and Night&Day do not have an SNCB code.
2. SORTING FOR FESTIVAL-GOERS
At Les Ardentes, there's no excuse not to sort your garbage! To keep the site clean and manage waste flows as efficiently as possible, we've reinforced the sorting system thanks to our partners BeWapp and Fost Plus. On the festival site, sorting islands have been set up to make things easier for you and guarantee efficient waste sorting. These sorting islands are clearly signposted and comprise several sections for different types of waste:
OM (Ordures Ménagères): For waste that cannot be recycled (food scraps, paper napkins, or any other non-recyclable waste).
PMC (All Plastic Packaging, Metal Packaging and Beverage Cartons): For plastic packaging, metal cans and beverage cartons. These materials can be recycled and transformed into new products.
Every effort has been made to cause as little inconvenience as possible to the festival's local residents. Every night, we clean up the streets around the festival site, and we've set up dozens of garbage cans along the road between the site and the campsite for you to dispose of your garbage. We're counting on you to respect our neighbors!
The green team :
A green team takes turns every day to collect raise awareness of waste sorting and keep the festival clean.
For smokers :
Throwing cigarette butts on the ground may seem like nothing, but the damage is frightening! They are difficult to pick up and are thrown on land used for haying cows. 1 cigarette butt contains 4000 pollutants and pollutes up to 500L of water. That's why, at Les Ardentes, we've made this one of our priorities. Once again this year, we're stepping up our efforts to reduce this problem and reinforce our system for collecting and sorting cigarette butts.
Come and pick up a pocket ashtray donated by BeWaPP :
- At the festival: at info points or recycling points
- On the campsite: at the info points
Committed partners :
To go even further, we have drawn up a charter to involve our partners in respecting the cleanliness of the site and the management of waste generated by their activities. It also makes partners aware of food waste, water and respect for equipment. Everything will be collected and processed by Belcyco !
3. SORTING FOR CAMPERS
Just like at the festival, we're counting on you not to throw your garbage just anywhere on the campsite, and to respect the sorting rules. To make things easier for you, we've set up sorting islands, which are clearly signposted and divided into different sections for different types of waste:

PMC (All Plastic Packaging, Metal Packaging and Beverage Cartons): For plastic packaging, metal cans and beverage cartons. These materials can be recycled and transformed into new products.
PAPER AND CARDBOARD: Newspapers, magazines, envelopes, various types of paper, cardboard boxes, cereal packaging, etc.
For your garbage on the campsite, we also provide rubbish bags. Pick them up at one of the campsite's two info/recycling points.
