Transportation is the leading source of pollution in festival organization. Transportation related to event logistics, as well as festivalgoers’ and artists’ travel to the venue, has a significant impact on the environment.
That’s why we’ve set up a comprehensive system of alternative transportation options for our festivalgoers. Free shuttle buses, a carpooling platform, and bike and scooter parking right next to the festival… Head to the mobility tab to find the eco-friendly transportation option that’s right for you!
GET 50% OFF YOUR ROUND-TRIP TRAIN TICKET THANKS TO THE SNCB!
With the Event Train Ticket, enjoy a round-trip train ride between any Belgian station and Ans Station at 50% off! Free shuttles will then take you to the festival and the campground.
Use the code SNCB(*) printed on your festival ticket to purchase your Les Ardentes Event Train Ticket at sncb.be/lesardentes. This code begins with the number zero, the capital letter “I,” and the letters “FB.” Purchase, information, and terms and conditions at sncb.be/lesardentes.
(*) Festival tickets purchased through Fnac and Night&Day do not include an SNCB code.
At Les Ardentes, there’s no excuse for not sorting your waste! To keep the site clean and manage waste streams as effectively as possible, we’ve expanded our waste sorting system with the help of our partners BeWapp and Fost Plus. On the festival grounds, waste sorting stations have been set up to make it easier for you and ensure efficient waste sorting. These recycling stations are clearly marked and consist of several sections for various types of waste:
OM (Household Waste = Non-recyclable Waste): for waste that cannot be recycled (food scraps, paper towels, or any other non-recyclable waste).
PMC (All Plastic Packaging, Metal Packaging, and Beverage Cartons): for plastic packaging, metal cans, and beverage cartons. These materials can be recycled and turned into new products.
Every effort has been made to minimize disruption to residents living near the festival. We clean the streets in the surrounding area every night and have set up dozens of trash stations along the path between the festival grounds and the campground so you can dispose of your trash there. We’re counting on you to be considerate of our neighbors!
The Green Team:
A green team takes turns every day to collect trash, raise awareness about recycling, and keep the festival clean.
For smokers:
Throwing a cigarette butt on the ground may seem like no big deal, but the damage is alarming! They’re difficult to pick up and end up on fields used to grow hay for cows. One cigarette butt contains 4,000 pollutants and can contaminate up to 500 liters of water. That’s why at Les Ardentes, we’ve made this one of our top priorities. Once again this year, we’re redoubling our efforts to reduce this problem and strengthen our cigarette butt collection and sorting system.

Our partners’ commitment:
To take this further, we’ve established a charter to involve our partners so they commit to keeping the site clean and managing the waste generated by their activities. It also raises partners’ awareness about food waste, water conservation, and respecting equipment. Everything will be collected and processed by Belcyco!
Just like at the festival, we’re counting on you not to litter anywhere on the campground and to follow the recycling rules. Recycling stations have been set up to make it easier for you and ensure that waste is sorted effectively. These stations are clearly marked and consist of several sections for different types of waste:
OM (Household Waste/Non-Recyclable Waste): for waste that cannot be recycled (food scraps, paper towels, or any other non-recyclable waste).
PMC (All Plastic Packaging, Metal Packaging, and Beverage Cartons): for plastic packaging, metal cans, and beverage cartons. These materials can be recycled and turned into new products.
PAPER AND CARDBOARD: newspapers, journals, magazines, envelopes, miscellaneous paper, cardboard boxes, cereal boxes, etc.
For your trash at the campground, we also provide trash bags. Pick them up at one of the campground’s two info/recycling stations.

These food trucks are also required to offer at least one vegetarian option on their menu and to prioritize sustainable practices. The use of plastic containers is also prohibited, contributing to our efforts to reduce waste and protect the environment.
The label icons on the interactive map in our mobile app will help you make informed choices.
