ABSOLEM

Friday, July 3

“Champagne en canette” (“Canned Champagne”) is a title that seems to crystallize everything that makes up Absolem: both the hustle of a determined kid from Liège breaking into music to succeed, and the adult he has become, caught between two worlds. Never truly fitting into the flashy codes of success, yet no longer fully connected to the excess and teenage lifestyle that shaped him for years. The album stands both as a retrospective look at the years gone by and the road already traveled, but also as a realization of the journey still ahead and the distance that still separates him from his life goals.

On this album, Absolem opens up about his most rational fears, telling his story through a layer of second-degree humor that acts as a shield to deflect the familiar anxiety of people approaching their thirties. Still, Champagne en canette sounds like the blossoming of an artist who finally knows who he is, what he stands for, and where he wants to go — while giving himself the means to achieve it.

To bring this vision to life, the album was composed mainly by his longtime collaborator Dee Eye, producer of Bitume Caviar, with creative direction support from JeanJass, crafting a variety of musical shades in line with the Absolem of 2026. Isha, Ben PLG, Edge, Peet and Ferdi all joined the project to take part in this story, which, hopefully, will give everyone a good reason to pop the champagne.

Absolem, you are invited to the 20th anniversary of Les Ardentes on Friday, July 3rd, 2026 !
