LY is a 21-year-old independent rapper who fell in love with rap after participating in a public speaking competition at university.
Surrounded by music from a very young age, he was singing Charles Aznavour at just three years old, listening to Bénabar in his mother’s car, and discovering Sexion d’Assaut and Diam’s at the same time. LY began writing almost immediately and has continued refining his pen ever since, eventually dedicating it fully to rap.
In 2022, LY encountered rap as a private passion for a few months before revealing it to the world in 2023 by releasing his first tracks, Adèle Castillon and Restless.
In February 2024, he launched himself on social media and built a community that encouraged him to keep going. He then released Freestyle G Eden, followed by Flow, after a freestyle that was well received by the public and filmed with YouTuber Ibepds. The success of the latter confirmed his rise, leading to the release of his first project, FA7, a 7-track EP, on March 7, 2025.
In 2025, LY performed a series of concerts on established stages such as the MaMA Music & Convention at FGO-Barbara, as well as at the Zénith de Paris, opening for Médine. He released a charity track, Enfant de Gaza, in the summer, while quietly preparing his new project CATHAR6, a 6-track EP released this past March.
