Hailing from 13 Block, the now-legendary group—currently on hiatus—with its dark, street-inspired rap laced with atmospheric anthems that spilled beyond the streets to capture the era (Vide, Fuck le 17, Vrai Négro, Balayer…), the rapper from Sevran has carved out the lion’s share of the space he created for himself. He successfully refines his formula (Joli, Jauné, Cimenter…), claiming to blend “melodies and thoughts.”
Between sung melancholy and devilishly punchy lines, Zed reinvents himself and pushes a new vision introduced in the track Nephilim. That’s the name he chose for his project, released on January 30, 2026. In it, he flaunts his credentials as a hero of a scene now criticized for prioritizing form over substance. With Zed, it’s all there: polished music videos, sharp styling. He has all the makings of a hitmaker who makes everything look effortless.
In these times, dark yet bright in places, with Nephilim Part I, Zed once again succeeds in creating the ideal soundtrack to put words to our feelings about the era.
