THE TELLERS (Pop - BE)
Ben Baillieux-Beynon and Charles Blistin were two youngsters more interested in songs than school when they formed the duo The Tellers. Quickly picked up by the label 62 TV, they arrived on the Belgian scene in 2006, carried by a mini album packed with fesh malosies that brought to mind The Libertines and The Violent Femmes. Following immediate success with a debut album “Hands Full of Ink “ and a European tour, the duo became a four-piece onstage.
But too much can happen too fast, and after two years on the road, The Tellers came back to Belgium in pieces and so decided to split, though on amicable terms. Only Ben stayed aboard ship, and so contacted Fabrice Detry, colleague from the label and producer of the two first records, to play bass, and encountered a young drummer at the same time. This all new trio is today currently recording a new album due for release soon, tracks from which will be unveiled at Les Ardentes.
