THE CHAP (Pop/Rock/Electro - UK)
The Chap is a veritable hidden treasure of English pop, mixing the energy of punk rock with Dadaist disco and pure pop songs. Based in London, this international quintent is composed of a Greek, a Scotsman, two Germans and an Anglo-French.
After two critically acclaimed albums “The Horse” in 2003 and “Ham” in 2005, some EPs and remixes for Beck and Bloc Party, the group released “Mega Breakfast” in 2008. The album speaks of sex changes, depression and the economy, not concerning themselves with “real songs about girls and clubbing”. The Chap has equally toured with groups such as Animal Collective, Mouse of Mars, Erase Errata, Architecture in Helsinki and ESG.
