Singer, songwriter and cult guitarist, Ben Harper begun playing live in his teenage years. However, only a few hundred were at Rennes Transmusicale in 1993 to discover this young 24-year old Californian’s slides, his guitar on his knee, showcasing his cultural heritage from blues to reggae and gospel to rock. Since then, Ben Harper has carved out the global career that we all know: 25 years of music and 12 albums. After winning over armies of admirers in Europe and Australia in the 90s, he entered the next decade by seducing his native America, collecting various awards on his way and being practically resident in the Billboard Top 10. Whole and genuine, today Harper pursues his inspired and inspiring musical quest, conveying a social message that is always relevant. After previous years with the Innocent Criminals, he formed the Relentess7 together with guitarist Jason Mozersky, bassist Jesse Ingalls and drummer Jordan Richardson.
