SURKIN (FR)
Young prodigy of just 20 years of age, Surkin continues to get better and better. However, until 2003, he was only concerned with rap and it was Detroit's Ghettotech that allowed him to discover electronic music. He was particularly interested in Chicago house and French house while also discovering Miami Bass from the end of the 80s. In May 2006, Surkin released not one, but two singles at the same time: "Ghetto Obsession and Radio Fireworks". Success was on the cards and the young DJ was recognised and appeared on the playlists of world electronic music leaders such as artists from the label Ed Banger, Boys Noize, Erol Alkan and Tiga. In 2008, he released his third single, "Next of Kin" which demonstrated his evolution as a producer and on which he didn't hesitate to pay tribute to his influences, like on the track "White Knight Two", an incredbily beautiful track with 90s sounds. His appreance at the Ardentes in the company of his Institubes label friends is not to be missed!
